Synthetic Marijuana & Ninjas
What in the Wide World of Sports is going on with everyone? Who would have thought that people wanting to get a simple buzz would turn into synthetic marijuana and ninjas? Yes, ninjas.
Check out the video below where this guy, who is higher than giraffe booty, decides to go Jackie Chan on some cops. The one minute mark is where things go haywire.
Did you see how dude channeled his inner-Neo and went Matrix on those cops? My question is: did he know martial arts before he got high or did the chronic instill some Crouching Junkie Hidden Dragon in him?

I'm not a drinker and I'm definitely not a smoker. I'll just stick to an all-natural high. I've never been drunk or high and I cannot stand the feeling of not being in control. I even hated being under the influence of anesthesia shortly after my knee surgery last November.
If drugs are making people do flip-kicks and eat each other, than count me out.
Have you ever been that out of control? Be honest with me!

How Close Do You Keep Them?
![]() |
From the 1995 must-see movie, "Kids." |
Since there are so many styles of parenting, it's very difficult to say which method is right or wrong. Especially since each child is different. But, how far will a parent go to keep an eye on their children as they grow into the teen years? How close do you keep them when it comes to more "adult decisions."
Would you allow your child to have sex in your house? How about getting drunk? Or smoking weed? Some of you are re-reading that and freaking out. However, there are some parents who think it's okay to let their kid do something that may seem immoral or even illegal as long as it's within the confines of the home. Some parents think that as long as they know about it, then they can control it.
There was a parent of one of my high school classmates who used to buy her son cigarettes. She said that she would rather buy them for him than have him sneak and do it. Is there a difference just because she knows?
Would some of you be okay with your daughter/son having sex in the house as opposed to someone's backseat or a seedy motel?
What about marijuana? Would you rather take the risk of purchasing the dope for your child than to have them in the streets with no experience?

Legalize Prostitution and Weed: Fair or Foul?
![]() |
Would legalizing hookers actually reduce crime? |
I spoke with a friend of mine recently named M&M. He stated that legalizing prostitution would do the following: improve family structure, reduce crime, demolish the unemployment rate, and a few more things. Don't believe me? Click here and hear it for yourself.
After listening to some of his points, I tended to agree with most of them, if not all of them. Some of the deep thinking he brought to the table seemed like a stretch at first. But, after thinking about it longer, it seemed like it would eventually turn out the way he predicted if hookin' was legalized.

Would marijuana being legal reduce crime? |
We then got into the subject of legalizing marijuana. M&M pretty much agreed that it should be done as well. But, before we could get deep into the conversation, I got a phone call from my man, Israel Carrasco, from out in L.A. If anyone had the scoop on "the sticky," it would be someone who lives in an area where medicinal "Mary Jane" is legal. Iz gave some great insight on how things work out in Cali and offered his opinion on how things would be if weed were legal nationwide. Like M&M, he also provided a very convincing argument.
Going into the conversation, I thought that the U.S. could benefit greatly from both being legalized. After all, once alcohol was legalized, it did wonders for our economy. Every holiday that we have, or major sporting event, groceries stores and liquor stores get cleaned out of their alcohol. The money that's spent on booze is staggering and it provides a huge boost to our economy.
Weed maybe arguably safer than beer. I've seen an angry drunk, but I've never seen an angry weed head. Worse case scenario on a weed head is that he/she eats up all of your snacks. And if you legalize hookers, then they can have benefits which ensures good health. You'll also all but eliminate back alley head bobs which could lead to rape, robbery, or worse.
So, it's time for the government to get off of its moral high horse. I think it's more immoral to snatch a man's job and give it to someone else overseas on the cheap than to let him roll a blunt and get his jollies at the Bunny Ranch.

Not Sold in A Dark Alley

Okay, I'm walking into a gas station (like most of my blogs start) and what do I see in the window? An ad for something that makes you lazy? Really? LOL! They now sell a snack that helps you relax. Introducing, Lazy Cakes! Brownies that provides a cure for your sweet tooth and then takes you to Dreamland.
I'm guessing it's one ingredient away from hash brownies, but I haven't read the label on one yet. I did have a co-worker that said it contains a chemical that's used in children's ADHD medicine. Personally, I don't want my snacks to contain drugs, if that's the case, but to each their own.
And to the other extreme, we have Red Bull. A drink that's been around for a while now and can give you "artificial" energy. It's designed for those who think coffee drinking is for old people. Coffee has been the morning drink of choice for centuries, but marketing geniuses found a way to make a morning drink that appeals to a younger audience. So, Red Bull was invented and is now a youthful injection of get-up-and-go.
In fact, Red Bull is now so mainstream that it has even made it's way into nightclubs and bars. There are a number of drinks that can be mixed with Red Bull a la the "Vod-Bomb" or "DVR" (double Vodka and Red Bull).

Alcohol = depressant. Red Bull = stimulant. What does the drink do? Even you out? Actually, it does the opposite. Known side effects from mixing energy drinks with alcohol are: cardiovascular risk, impaired judgment, shortness of breath, dizziness, disorientation and rapid heart beat.
Okay, be honest, you laughed at the "impaired judgement," didn't you? That's the side effect of alcohol without energy drinks. LOL!
But, seriously, I guess the point I'm trying to make is: how sad is it that we have to manufacture energy and/or relaxation?
If you want energy or to stay awake, you go to Starbucks for a cup, quench a 5 Hour Energy or slam a Red Bull.
If you want to rest, you take Ambien, Lunesta, or now, chomp on a Lazy Cake.
Just because it's not sold in a dark alley doesn't mean you can't develop an addiction, people.
If you can't start your day without an artificial stimulant, then what's wrong?
If you can't get to sleep at night without a depressant, then what's wrong?
Our country had the hugest debate over healthcare recently. The insurance companies are making money left-and-right, but are concerned about having to pay out more to risky people.

I've never sided with health insurance companies on anything before, but for once, I can kind of see why they're concerned. Who would want to insure someone who has to have a stimulant to function every morning and a depressant just to go to sleep every evening?
No one wants to insure an addict.

Why Are Enablers Complaining About Their Mess?
I'm trying to wrap my brain around something. I was watching a politician discuss the immigration enforcement laws in Arizona. He was speaking of how the "illegals" drive up our health care and steal our jobs.
That's when my brain simply allowed me to pose a simple, yet relevant question to myself: aren't rich people the reason people across the border to come to America?
After all, in order to have a pool guy, gardener, landscaper and nanny, you have to have someone who's rich enough to afford all of those things, right? Those appear to be the same people keeping up the most noise about illegals.

First, let me say this: I do agree that no one should be in the country illegally. But come on, the argument on illegals is hypocritical in so many ways.
I'm pretty sure that the Native Americans had issues about the "illegals" that "discovered" their country some centuries ago. Maybe there's a "what goes around, comes around" feeling going on in AZ.
I'll give you an example of how rich people enable something to happen, but then deflect the blame to the people who are being enabled:
The NBA. Huh? That's right. NBA owners and general managers are enablers. They recently passed a rule a few seasons ago that prevents high schoolers from skipping college and going straight into the NBA.
You may say to yourself, "Well, Q, it makes sense. These kids aren't mature enough for millions. They should go to college at least for one year and develop their game and their lives a little more."
Prior to the "new rule", how did high schoolers make it to the NBA? They were drafted! They didn't just show up at the NY Knicks gym and said "I want to play". They were selected.
So, how can the people who are drafting you to play say that you shouldn't be joining our league coming out of high school? Isn't the easiest way to deter them from coming to the league too early is by not drafting them?
But, no one wants to miss out on the next Magic Johnson, so they draft based on potential and 9 out of 10 times, end up with a guy who's mediocre at best and never truly learned how to play the game.
Again, the enabler is complaining about the "enabled". It happens in the war on drugs as well. The only people I see going to jail are users and low-level dealers. That's who the "war" on drugs is against. Not the bankroll of the operation, but the peons of the cartel.
Again, the enablers are leading the charge against "the problem". It's like Nino Brown being on the front line on the "war" on drugs against "Pookie". (That's a "New Jack City" reference for those not fortunate enough to have seen the 1991 classic). You need Netflix in your life.

Okay, I just saw a black guy who is storm chaser for The Weather Channel. That's a first. I prefer to go the opposite direction of tornadoes.
Sorry, I got distracted. Now I'm looking at people on my TV screaming down Mexicans in front of John McCain's office. I love Hispanic people and I feel sorry for those who are being taken advantage of for their cheap labor. It's a shame that so many people in the White House fussing about this issue probably have quite a few Consuelas and Hectors working on their estate.
Latinos are getting blamed for everything under the sun. Sure undocumented people drive up health care costs, but so do greedy pharmaceutical companies and Congressmen/women.
Latinos just want to make a living just like us. A lot of them definitely could make more of an effort to do it legally, but when are we going to blame the people who are paying them to be here illegally?
